Stephen and Anthony's Wedding in Sydney

Love is all there is!

This truly was the mantra of the wedding.

My first legally solemnised same sex marriage on 2nd February - and what a celebration!

The marriage between Stephen and his partner of 15 years, Anthony, was celebrated in their much loved garden in their home in Chatswood.

As I watched the resounding YES vote or love was announced in Parliament (with tears in my eyes), the phone rang and Stephen and Anthony asked me to be their celebrant. I was so thrilled - beyond words.

The date was set for 2nd of February as their relationship began on that date 15 years ago.

I was sworn to secrecy as they wanted a private, relaxed, romantic, fun and spiritual celebration with their families and closest friends.

For those who could not be with them physically from England, Canada, the mainland USA and Hawaii, Switzerland, Cyprus, France, Spain, Sweden, New Zealand, and throughout Australia, we made sure they could be there spiritually, watching as the service unfolded via a livestream broadcast.

Our wedding would not have been the relaxed, smooth-flowing and, importantly, totally fun and enjoyable afternoon and evening it was without the magic of Glen-Marie as our marriage celebrant. Her thorough preparation and desire to ensure our very personal love story was the focus - as well as her professionalism, warmth and charisma - made our special day even more pleasurable. We can’t imagine what our wedding day would have been like without her.

ALL of them sent messages to the happy couple, demonstrating their love and happiness for them.

Guests on the day still travelled from Greece, New Zealand and from all ports of Australia to be by their side.

The ceremony included a special piece of music written by a dear friend, Alice, who was watching from her family home in London.

Jewels played her crystal and Tibetan bowls throughout the ceremony.

We held a Candlemas celebration and voice Channeller, Blossom, a dearest friend, blessed their union through her native American Indian spirit, White Cloud.

French champagne was served in ‘Stephen/Anthony’ branded champagne glasses (gifts for guests) while the register was signed and I read messages from around the globe from friends who wanted to be part of the celebration on the live stream.

So much fun and interaction with friends around the world.

The party didn't slow down with fabulous music and dancing to follow.

It was my absolute honour to be with Anthony and Stephen on this long awaited day.

Love is all there is !
